Chipton-Ross is seeking a Shipping Clerk for a contract opportunity in Everett, WA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Basic understanding of loading trucks and staging and freight preparation. Some experience and training of crate assembly and crating department procedures. Some experience in shipping department tools and usage (i.e. powertools).The ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Entry-level job with little or no prior relevant experience. Examine contents of shipment and compare with record, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of out-going shipment. Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, and space availability for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes. Pack, seal, and label materials to prepare for shipping using work devices such as hand tools/power tools. Requisition and store materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is prescribed and completed with close supervision and little autonomy
Duties are clearly defined and methods and tasks are described in detail

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time, 1st Shift
7:00 AM-3:30PM PST
