Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Biller at our esteemed podiatrist office. As the billing manager you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient processing of medical billing, insurance claims, and patient accounts. Responsibilities:
Utilize medical billing software and payor websites to accurately process patient billing and insurance claims.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for patients prior to appointments.
Generate monthly statements and review for collection placement.
Notify patients of out-of-pocket responsibility for upcoming surgeries and procedure.
Review patient accounts for accuracy and completeness, resolving any discrepancies as needed.
Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing inquiries and disputes.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical billing regulations, coding practices, and insurance policies.
Collaborate and communicate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure seamless billing processes and patient satisfaction.
Generate reports and maintain billing records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications :
Proven experience working in medical billing or healthcare administration, preferably in a podiatrist office or related healthcare setting.
Proficiency in medical billing software and familiarity with medical coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) and billing terminology.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, insurance representatives, and colleagues.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of healthcare billing regulations, compliance standards, and HIPAA guidelines.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in medical billing or healthcare administration preferred.
