Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and driven GirlGov Program Manager to lead and support a variety of educational and leadership development programs aimed at empowering young women and girls. This position is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the GirlGov program, a year-round leadership development initiative for high school and middle school students. You will play a key role in growing the program, engaging with communities, and helping to shape the next generation of women leaders.

Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Strategy: Evaluate all educational programs to suggest improvements that align with our mission of empowering women and girls. Lead the design, planning, and execution of GirlGov programs, including summer camps, leadership development initiatives, and educational trips.
Team Development: Recruit, train, and manage Program Associates and interns, ensuring a high level of engagement and effective program delivery.
Curriculum Development: Develop and implement engaging, comprehensive curriculums for GirlGov's year-round programming, including educational trips and service learning opportunities.
Community Engagement: Foster strong partnerships with organizations, schools, and community leaders to enhance the impact and reach of GirlGov programs. Represent GirlGov at external events and multi-partnered initiatives.
Fundraising Support: Assist with fundraising and business development efforts, contributing to the financial sustainability and growth of the program.
Data Collection & Reporting: Collect and report data to support program assessments, grant reporting, and continuous improvement efforts.
Grant Support: Collaborate on grant proposals and reports to secure funding and resources for GirlGov programs.
Program Expansion: Work closely with leadership to identify and explore opportunities for expanding GirlGov and its impact, both locally and beyond.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in civic engagement and/or youth programs. At least 1 year of supervisory experience is required (2 years preferred).
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field required.

Creative, innovative, and able to work independently in a collaborative environment.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects.
Ability to connect with teens, low-income communities, and diverse groups, addressing the challenges they face.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and G-Suite. Fluency in a second language is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High degree of confidentiality and professionalism.
Additional Requirements
Full security clearances as required by law when working with minors.
Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: $48,000 - $55,000
