Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and visionary leader to join our team as the Head of BSA/AML and Compliance. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the compliance team while ensuring strict adherence to BSA, AML, CIP, OFAC, FinCEN, and the US Patriot Act regulations. As a strategic leader, you will report directly to executive leadership and serve as the designated BSA/AML Officer, driving compliance initiatives and best practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and Inspire: Provide strategic direction and support to the compliance team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
Regulatory Expertise: Stay current on BSA/AML, OFAC regulations, and all related compliance requirements, ensuring the organization is well-positioned to meet regulatory obligations.
Compliance Oversight: Oversee and ensure adherence to compliance regulations, including UAR submissions for each sponsor financial institution.
Advisory Support: Offer tailored compliance and regulatory guidance to FinTech partners, helping align business objectives with strong risk management practices.
Process Collaboration: Work closely with various teams on KYC, KYBC, and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) processes, ensuring effective and robust customer verification protocols.
Data Analysis: Continuously monitor and analyze reports and transaction data to identify trends, manage risks, and detect suspicious activities.
Strategic Reporting: Develop and present insightful BSA/AML-related reports to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
Training Development: Create and implement comprehensive training programs to ensure the team and organization are fully aligned with BSA compliance standards.
Risk & Audit Management: Lead BSA Risk Assessments and coordinate internal audits to assess and improve the effectiveness of the compliance program.
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel (10% to 15%) may be required to support compliance operations and collaboration with partner institutions.
About You:
Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
Professional Experience: At least 5+ years of experience in compliance and AML roles, with a proven track record in leadership.
Regulatory Expertise: In-depth knowledge of BSA/AML compliance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and their practical application.
Location Flexibility: Open to relocation if outside of WA.
