Houseperson Job Description:

As a Houseperson at Fairfield by Marriott, you will play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of public areas, supporting the housekeeping team, and ensuring our guests enjoy a comfortable and pleasant stay. Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks that require teamwork, efficiency, and a commitment to quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain public spaces including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and elevators.
• Ensure cleanliness of guest floors and assist with stocking linen and housekeeping supplies.
• Assist in delivering requested items to guest rooms (towels, extra amenities, etc.).
• Remove trash and recyclables from guest rooms and public areas.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the housekeeping storage areas and equipment.
• Assist with deep cleaning and special projects as needed.
• Ensure that all supplies and equipment are maintained and properly stored.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with guests and team members.

Qualifications:

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lift, carry, and push moderate weight (up to 50 lbs).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Good communication skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
