Job Description

DESCRIPTION

Amazon Grocery Logistics (AGL) Supply Chain is responsible for the online grocery delivery fulfillment strategy across the Amazon Grocery network including topology design, capacity planning, network optimization, store launch strategy and execution, and scenario-planning for physical stores and FCs. The AGL team is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to own strategic and cross-functional operational initiatives that support the growth of our Grocery business. In this role, you will use analytical, technical, program management, strategic and operations management skills to design, plan, and optimize network topology and capacity while balancing Under-the-Roof (UTR) and On-The-Road (OTR) tradeoffs. This includes leading business critical workstreams in support of key financial planning cycles and optimizing delivery coverage for an evolving network of stores that serve our customers in the US. This role is expected to accelerate progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g. path to green), and escalating appropriately.

Key job responsibilities
- Partnering with Operations, Retail and Finance partners to define, improve and optimize delivery coverage. Outputs feed directly into our business financial and strategic plans
- Analyzing complex data sets and using customized tools to determine long term topology needs for our network, communicating this vision clearly to partner teams to enable strategic Real Estate and CapEx decisions
- Engaging cross-functional project teams; planning, and executing complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders. Examples include new Store Formats that optimize selection while reducing delivery costs
- Coordinating projects with tech teams to ensure our delivery network technology can scale to address future challenges and growth
- Creating innovative solutions and processes to find new ways to evaluate our network, and serve our customers more efficiently
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager / owner mentality

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- 3+ years of supply chain experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
