We're looking for an experienced Retail Marketing Director to lead, develop, and optimize the retail marketing strategy for our pet brands across multiple channels. This role will collaborate closely with brand teams, the sales team, and national retail partners to ensure the success of our retail marketing efforts.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead and inspire the retail marketing team to achieve company goals.
Design and execute innovative national marketing programs that differentiate our pet brands in the marketplace.
Identify and create opportunities to integrate Direct-to-Consumer assets with retail marketing strategies.
Collaborate with DTC teams to craft an integrated omni-channel customer experience.
Improve strategies to educate store personnel and consumers about the benefits of alternative feeding.
Maximize the impact of PR and trade publications for retail effectiveness.
Oversee product launches, key account marketing initiatives, B2B sales tools, national promotions, and merchandising.
Analyze the return on investment for all marketing campaigns and optimize for better outcomes.
Contribute to the ideation of new product and packaging developments.
What We're Looking For:

10+ years of experience in brand and/or retail marketing within the consumer goods sector.
3+ years of experience in the pet industry (any capacity).
3+ years of experience in social media and/or e-commerce marketing.
Proven experience in pet retail marketing, particularly in pet food.
Knowledge of independent pet and pet specialty channels.
Product development experience is a plus.
Ability to travel up to 25%.
Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide a team.
Ability to translate high-level objectives into actionable strategies.
Creative thinker, capable of developing memorable and engaging marketing campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with internal and external teams.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.

Compensation
The base salary for this role is $130,000-$165,000 annually, plus annual bonus potential. Salary is based on factors like experience, qualifications, and location.
